The City Beyond

After the battle, Ca'Naamu got on one of the Dropships that were picking up troops, before getting on, He looked at the Super Carrier with amazement and awe, USNC vehicles everywhere were blowing up as Plasma beams flew everywhere, Ca'Naamu got on the Dropship and it took off. He heard the voice of a grunt. "Great, A young Grunt's driving this hunk of Plasma and Metal." He whispered to himself. At the City Beyond, the Grunt tried to drop them off correctly.

Ca'Naamu looked down, to see the trapdoor open, they were 20 feet above the ground, Uh Oh. All the passengers began plummeting to the ground, the last thing he heard before falling was an Elite yelling at the young Unggoy, Ca'Naamu dissipated the fall with a roll, after a minute he oriented himself, to see that one of his fellow Sangheili Brethren was not as lucky, He looked at the commander, He was barking out orders as if he stopped, He would explode, Ca'Naamu ran into the formation and waited for the enemies to come.

He took the liberty to look at the city from the formation, it was amazing, There were skyscrapers everywhere, It almost looked like it was the Forerunner homeworld. After careful examination he saw a Forerunner ship in the middle.

Inside a phantom awaiting drop off, Arlunis looked from the air down at the city. Massive skyscrapers riddled the area, and he was quite shocked as how the humans would have such a large colection of building in a relatively remote area. Still, it didn't matter. By the end of this campaign, all these building would crumble to dust. As the phantom lowered close to an abandoned road with destroyed civilian cars, Arlunis and a small squad of Spec Ops Unggoy jumped off, searching the empty stores for survivors. Considering that a large strike team of around 6 banshees had already ravaged this section of the city, Arlunis was certain that every human parasite would have moved away. Looking at the Unggoy, Arlunis said "Let's move further into the heart of this place. Make sure none get past us." The Unggoy all looked briefly at each other for recognition, and agreed. Moving past a flaming car, a huge shock hit the ground. "What was that?" Arlunis siad, in suprise. The Unggoy looked around in curiosity, then everyone felt it again. "The humans must be sending reenforcements, be prepared."

Ca'Naamu felt and heard a large boom, He looked up to see several human fleets ravaging the Supercarrier up above, Almost immediately huge amounts of Marines, 15 Spartans, and an entire army of vehicles attacked the formation, it broke up and and Covenant forces scattered everywhere, Ca'Naamu didn't expect this big of an army, of course neither did the commander, Or he would've brought in more troops, Ca'Naamu activated camo and melted into the shadows, Only to be seen by a spartan who happened to be watching his every action, The Spartan ran into the shadows, instead of hitting Ca'Naamu, he rammed into a building head-first, Ca'Naamu took an Energy Sword and sliced him in the back of the head before he turned around, Ca'Naamu grabbed his body, Held it up, And yelled in his Alien tongue "The first Spartan of the day, My brothers!", Ca'Naamu threw the body and attacked a group of Marines.

Hearing the distinctive -VROOOM- of a warthog coming near, Arlunis yelled out "Attack them!" The Spec Ops Unggoy went directly to the slope of the road, and then, a warthog vehicle sprang out almost immdediantely. The gunner shot at the Unggoy as they all rolled out of the way. Arlunis simply stuck a plasma grenade to it, and killed all the pasengers within the warthog. Then, a few marines came up soon after, shooting with their DMR's and Assault Rifles. The Unggoy and the marines were evenly matched, and Arlunis dove right into combat. Pulling out his Energy Sword at the last moment, he took the marines by suprise and gored one across the chest. He then lunged again at a few others, but they ducked down, avoiding the hit. One marine shot right at Arlunis's chest armor, severely depleting his sheilds. Frustrated, Arlunis pulled out his Fuel Rod Gun and moved slightly backwards, lasting the heck out of them. With dying screams, Arlunis signaled the Unggoy specialists to move on, advancing the downward-facing road. Bullets and Plasma fired across 2 sides of the road as a large force of marines and a few Spartans kept the area within their control. The elites and skirmishers, whom they were fighting, were defeated, one by one. Arlunis knew he would have to face them. However, with around 3 spartans down there, He could not do it alone. The Unggoy were brave, and would do anything their Feild Marshall would order them to do. While looking at the enemies, Arlunis said "Kill the weaker ones, then then focus on their superiors!" as he then stormed into the battle once again.

Ca'Naamu sliced open every Marine in the large group he attacked, jumping back into the shadows, he watched as the Human army broke through and moved towards the heart of the city, He ran off in the Shadows, dodging many Marines and vehicles, he had to warn the Spec Op groups moving towards the heart of the city, Ca'Naamu climbed on top of a building and jumped to the next, he saw Arlunis's Spec Ops group, the army was moving straight towards them, he jumped right next to Arlunis, hoping the Field Marshall wouldn't shoot him in surprise of his quick approach, Ca'Naamu blurted out "Thehumanarmyisheadingstraighttowardsyou!" Ca'Naamu hoped he would understand what he said.

Hearing the Spec Ops sangheili, Arlunis paused his fight and hid down next to a turned over car. "What? The human army? Quick, retreat and take new actions, RETREAT!" Arlunis said, as he signaled the Spec Ops Unggoy to move back. With one last shot of his fuel rod gun, Arlunis fell back with his group, out of enemy sight, able to live for the next fight.

"Look up in the sky!" Ca'Naamu yelled as debris began raining all over the place, Mostly the Supercarrier's debris, as more Frigates had come to harass the Supercarrier, A Banshee dropped right in front of him, it was on fire, Ca'Naamu broke open the Cockpit to find the pilot dead, just them a team of Spartans that were scouting spotted them, Immediately Ca'Naamu shot one dead with his Needlers, And he said "Get your team out of the city! I'll hold them off! GO!" Ca'Naamu went ahead and sliced one with his Energy Sword, before backing up to shoot another one with his Needlers.

Boarding the phantom with his his team of Spec Ops Unggoy, Arlunis looked back at the young sangheili fighting the team of spartans. Deciding that he would die if left alone, Arlunis shouted up to the phantom gunners "Give him support as we leave! He just might make it!" After saying this, a barrage of plasma fire from the gunners fired down at the sartans, cauing them to duck for cover. Perhaps this would allow Ca'Naamu the time he needs to get out of there, or finish them off.

"Hurry!" Ca'Naamu yelled as he jumped over the barrier the Spartans were hiding behind, and he sliced one, causing the Spartans to radio for help, Ca'Naamu the used a Spartan body to break the radio, Ca'Naamu whacked the Spartan, them sliced him, only to be barraged by bullets, yelling to Arlunis he said "Don't wait for me! You're more important!" As Ca'Naamu fell down from the fire, he threw a Plasma Grenade onto a Spartan's visor, Ca'Naamu wasn't fizzling out just like that, He was going out with a bang.

With a goodbye, Arlunis yelled out to Ca'Naamu "Good Luck, comrad! May you live to see the Great Journey for us all!" As Arlunis's Phantom flew away, he could only see bullets coming out to Ca'Naamu, which made Arlunis wonder if he would see the brave warrrior ever again. The Phantom flew into the clouds, and Arlunis couldn't see the battleground area anymore.

As the Plasma Grenade blew up, it sent Ca'Naamu flying, right to an Evac sight, it looked like survivors were already picked up from the spot. Ca'Naamu moved the rubble to make a barrier, it would hold off the Humans, Atleast for now.

OOC: If I've been evacuated from the fight, can I still carry on in this topic? It's not like a can fight, I'm still in a Phantom.

OOC: You can go to a base where the survivors are and regroup, Get reinforcements then come in to save any trapped survivors and to take back the city.

As the phantom had landed gently onto firm ground, Arlunis had been able to regroup with the other survivors. Making a new plan to get back to the city in one major attack group, Arlunis would lead his team, along with the other sangheili warriors, to aid in combat. With many phantoms in the air, they had landed and attacked any marines sighted. The spartans were near the center, trying to get information of the attack out of the survivors. As Arlunis came out of the transport vehicle, he snuck silently after a few marines guarding the outer area of the city. With his team behind him, Arlunis struck the marines down with his energy sword. "Come, let's move back and free the others being held hostage" Arlunis said to a few sangheili minors and majors around him. Taking position, Arlunis led many unggoy and sangheili to attack a larger squad of marines. As frag grenades were thrown thrown overhead, Arlunis used his fuel rod to quickly sweap them across. "Let us free our brothers and take over the city!" a minor sangheili said, in full confidence. 3 spartans nearby redied their weapons and fired ferociously at them. Arlunis's fuel rod didn't fire. It had run out of ammo. Picking up a stray plasma rifle on the ground that had been damaged, Arlunis shot a spartan many times at the chst. The rest of the spartan's called evac falcons and retreated. Deciding that the hostages weren't going to make anything easier, all UNSC forces, inculding spartans, had awaited transport. Arlunis moved into a building where the hostages were being held. Killing the 2 marines guarding the door, Arlunis then used his energy dagger to pop the door open.

Ca'Naamu sat in the corner as Marines banged at the barricade, holding up his dual needlers, He kept whispering "Stay back.. Stay back... Stay back.." He knew he was too weak to handle what would come through that barricade, he knew all he could do was shoot as many as possible and then stick himself with a Plasma Grenade, so the Marines wouldn't get the honor for killing him.

Arlunis continuoed his assualt on the UNSC marines, slaughtering them with every fuel rod blast. It was too easy. Just then, in the distance, he heard a plasma grenade explosion very close by...

As the Plasma Grenade exploded, Ca'Naamu was sent flying, his body hit a building, and it fell to the ground, Ca'Naamu moaned in pain, most of his mouth had been blown away. He was pummeled onto his back by a Marine, who noticed he was alive, That Marine got a Spartan and Ca'Naamu found himself a hostage.
